What will happen if no car insurance under 25 and have an accident?
By ainsurence | October 20, 2009
A child who is under 25 and has no auto insurence got an accident and is faulty. Only have car registration, can not afford third party insurance and do not have car insurance under 25. What will happen if a child got an accident?
If any one including child under 25 got an accident and are deemed to be have fault then they will have to pay all bill including hospital bill and damaged property bill. Or the other party insurer may send you bill if they choose to use their own insurance. The child also can take a loan from bank to settle down with insurer.
If other person is injured by child, the Compulsory Third Party (CTP) insurance will pick it up. If the child is not able to pay or does not pay anyway the damage repair bill, the insurer will involve debt collector. If the child still can not pay or does not pay the matter goes to local court. Then the black mark will be given to child’s credit history if court recognizes that there is a debt owed by child.

Car Insurance Under 25
It is very rubbish way to start adult life. As comparing with full comprehensive the third party insurance is not that much expensive. In the case of Western Australia (WA) the third party property damage insurance only costs $200 per year which very much less then cost of car insurance under 25.
If this much is not affordable one should not drive.
